The COVID-19 pandemic took a devastating toll on small businesses, especially those in the wine and hospitality industries. Many were forced to close their doors permanently.

At the time, La'Mond and his wife, Dayna, owned and operated Cork Wine Lounge, a boutique wine bar in Lake Jackson, Texas, dedicated to showcasing exceptional Texas wines.

Just one week after celebrating Cork's first anniversary, businesses were forced to shut down indefinitely amid the uncertainty of the pandemic. During that challenging season, La'Mond's dream of creating his own wine brand moved from an idea to a mission.

To generate income for Cork while businesses were suppose to be closed, La'Mond began crafting wine-based sangrias and selling them prohibition style, creating what would eventually become Hall Family Estates Wine Co. Soon after, he partnered with a local winemaker to produce the company's first wine release; PANDEMIC, a still Rosé with bright notes of pineapple, on September 21, 2021 (La'Mond's birthday).

Cork Wine Lounge closed in March 2022, La'Mond continued working quietly and relentlessly toward a bigger vision: building Hall Family Estates Wine Co., a boutique urban winery in his hometown of Brazoria, Texas, one hour south of Houston.

There is no inherited vineyard, family fortune, or trust fund behind Hall Family Estates, only determination, sacrifice, and a commitment to building something meaningful. That mindset fuels the mission of creating a lasting legacy, expanding opportunities for future generations, and honoring family heritage.

While Hall Family Estates respects the traditions of the wine industry, it is not bound by them. The brand is intentionally creating its own path, building a community that reflects its culture, values, and the people who connect with the brand.

Structured as a boutique urban winery, Hall Family Estates Wine Co. offers guests the opportunity to apply for membership into "The Family," its private wine club. More than a winery, Hall Family Estates is creating a destination where culture, community, and craftsmanship come together. While many wineries focus primarily on wine clubs, Hall Family Estates focuses on people.

This is more than a wine brand. It's a journey, a legacy in the making, and an invitation to be part of something special. 

La'Mond A. Hall is a proud three time alum of THE Prairie View A & M University and currently works as an educational diagnostician.

He and his incredibly supportive wife, Dayna, have one son, Chancelor, who has perfected the delicate balance of being absolutely adorable and absolutely exhausting.

Growing up in the small town of Brazoria, TX, he didn’t dream of owning a winery. He grew up understanding something far more valuable: the power of gathering people together. The best conversations happen around tables, on porches, and at celebrations. During these moments stories are exchanged, barriers come down, and strangers become friends.

La'Mond noticed something missing from the wine world. Too many wineries felt inaccessible. Too many experiences felt manufactured. Too many people never saw themselves reflected in the culture. So he decided to build something different. Not just a winery. A family.

Hall Family Estates Wine Co. was created for people who appreciate great wine, authentic connections, and experiences worth talking about long after the bottle is empty. Inspired by the exclusivity of private clubs, and the belief that culture belongs at the table, Hall Family Estates exists at the intersection of wine, community, and conversation.
