The answer depends on the type of wine and how it's stored. Contrary to popular belief, most bottles of wine are best enjoyed within 2–5 years of purchase, although some high-quality red and dessert wines can improve with proper aging for 10 years or more.

Store bottles horizontally in a dark, temperature-controlled environment (ideally 50-55°F) to keep the cork moist and prevent oxidation.

A dry wine contains little to no residual sugar. It isn't the opposite of fruity, it simply isn't sweet.
